The really sad part is that if you get something fast you don't value it as much.

When you have to work and struggle for something the rewards are so much sweeter.

You are correct, we live in an instant gratification world. Too many times people new to the industry are sucked in by all of the hype of lure of making thousands a week. That just doesn't happen in the beginning. If it were the case, we would all be hanging out at our favorite spots instead of working our butt's off!

Excellent points you made Michael! Everyone needs a plan "B" and NM can be that if they take it seriously.

Some just don't get it. I have a side opportunity that you can join for free. I had been contacted by this young lady on a social networking site about my primary biz. I knew from her complaining about lack of money, she wouldn't cough up the money for my primary, even though it's not that much. So I contacted her about the free opportunity.

She said, "I'll have to wait until things settle down". Geez, it's free and took me a whopping 20 minutes to get my web market set up...she's a JOB mentality. I frankly told her not to bother contacting me again. I watched as she spent the evening playin farmville.

Part of me feels sorry for people like that, part of me doesn't....

I absolutely agree, Michael - marketing training will cost you, either in terms of money or time.

The only this is for sure though: education is a must, however you choose to do it.

That's the problem with alot of people in any businss...they want someone to do it for them. I'm not referring to a little outsourcing of somthing you don't have knowledge of. I'm talking about, the do the whole thing for me and let me reap the rewards. Lottery or welfare mentality. It doesn't work in Network Marketing.

Michael, You can't build a house without a solid foundation. If you don't the house will soon fall. Same thing with Network Marketing or an online business. You must have a solid foundation to build it on and a mindmap or roadmap.

You are correct, finding a guide or mentor that has been down the road will help tremendously!

You're right on about having to treat it like a business and learning new skills. Unfortunatly, a lot of people who get involved don't see it this way at all. Therefore, how can the lead and be prosperous...they can't! It's not a job where someone tells you when to work and when to clock out. It's up to you to do it.

Hey Michael

You make a great point here. Social Media should be just that a place online where people socialize online. When you involve machines in the process to act on your behalf your online social life is belittled to a point of no existence.

The concept reminds me of a film I saw recently 'The Surrogate', where humans where using machines to do their daily activities. As you can imagine it all went t*ts up in the end.

Michael, I saw your comments on Jason's blog so thought I'd come over and visit. Great post here! I love content marketing because I actually love creating content but you are right one must be careful with some article spinners as they can turn one's precious nuggets of content into nonsense.

I have learned to use one of these effectively but I think the best advice I can give is to keep articles simple and no more than 500 words when spinning otherwise it can take up a lot of time.
